Chocolate Pudding, Patsy Cline, and Aunt Kari
It's been a good day people. Didn't start out that way with the garage sales. What a bust that was... Why would somebody try to sell half empty bottles of hand lotion? Because I guess they felt they were half full ... I swear this one guy had about 20 bottles of used lotion for sale, what the hell? Why would you want that? Why would you even try to sell that crap to people? Oh yeah, here is the other crap people were trying to sell boxes of... Old Happy Meal toys. Now, I know some people are thinking about collectors. Let me tell ya, I know what toy collectors look for because one gave birth to me and I am pretty confident in saying nobody, not even a toy collector wants your used, broken, trashy Happy Meal Toys people so throw them away!
Chocolate Pudding... Em thinks it's Yummers. She also likes to use it as finger paint and "draw" with it all over Mommy's pajama pants. Have I bothered to change since she has gone to bed? Nope... why bother?
Now, I bet you are asking why the hell I would let my daughter draw with pudding all over me... Good question, I am glad you asked... I got a phone call from my Brother in Law... It turns out Emmy is going to have a new little cousin!! Congrats to Uncle Ian and Aunt Kari! This is Kari's first baby... I am sooooooo happy and excited for them both. You are going to have such an exciting journey into motherhood.
Giggles, Tickles, and the Wiggles
10 Tiny Fingers and Toes
Sweet Baby Breath and soft Tushy Bottoms
Butterfly kisses and long loving hugs
A love you feel for no other
You are forever a Mother
LOL... I couldn't resist. Seriously, Welcome to the wonderful worl of Motherhood. Of course there is the pregancy at first. Crying for no reason, Big Boobies, Big Belly, and Being hungry all the time!! But then the baby comes... All your dreams and love wrapped in to one tiny little miracle. Nothing else matters in the world except that tiny little creature. Ummm, except a few days later when you realize that you haven't slept more than 4 hours total! LOL... Then you worry about germs, Poop, and are they eating enough.... Why can't I get them to stop crying? Why is my husband just sitting there playing video games when the baby has been crying for 20 minutes? LOL...ahhhh... I remember those days! Oh yeah, then you remember you haven't showerd all day and it is already 10pm... you have boogers and spit up all over you but you decide to go to sleep instead because the baby will want to eat again in another hour. Then two weeks go by and you realize somebody needs to do the laundry and you haven't seen another human being because you haven't been out of the house yet... Hehehe... Oh yeah, you are very thankful for God giving somebody the brain power to invent the Swing... I am sure at some point while you baby is swinging away in it's golden swing you will actually get down on your hands and knees praising God... LOL "Thank you LORD Jesus for I may now take a shower for the first time in 3 days!!"... Don't worry, It will happen!
I know I am freaking you a bit maybe, but it is all in fun. Keith and I wish you all the love and happiness. We wish you a happy, healthy pregnancy, and know that we are always here if you need us. (okay, so Keith will be in Iraq, but I will be here!)
So after the chocolate pudding episode, getting Em bathed, finding out I am going to be an Aunt again, and putting the Turkey to bed I decided to pop a bag of popcorn. I know, I am bad, but listen, I needed it... Anyway, I turn on the TV and what do I see? Patsy Cline... well, a story about her. I LOVE her. Right now my friend Elaine is saying " who the hell is that"... She is the first woman of Country, that is who! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her!! So, there I sat stuffing my face, with chocolate pudding smeared all over me, and watching Patsy Cline. Pretty good night if I say so myself.
So, all in all it has been a good day. Em was in a good mood even with me hauling her out of the car every couple of minutes to go garage sales. She is learning how to give kisses when you ask for them. She has learned that a brush is to brush her hair and she will actually try to do it or mine. We have been working with the spoon but mostly food gets flung all over the place. Fun... So, receptive speech is being worked on... seems like it is coming along! Oh, I asked her where a baby was in a book today and she pointed to that as well. She knows where Mommy's nose is, my belly, my eyes, and my mouth... I think that is pretty good for her age!
So, all my Blogger friends... Let us give Kari some motherly advise (even though I told her not to listen to any and that I wouldn't be giving her any LOL)
I will start by say what I said earlier
Get some sleep now while you can because you won't be getting anymore after the baby is born for another 18 years.
Okay, that was my funny one now here is one that I take to heart every day. It's your baby, your way is always the right way. (I say this because I know you are going to be a good mother, for some the above advice is not always true!)
Come on ladies, be funny or serious, or both... I know you all have something to share!! LOL
Love you Kari!! :)
