I know it has been awhile. People have been visiting so I didn't have time to do this. We had a great time with everyone. Emily was spoiled rotten... It is always good to be around friends and family. When you're alone so much you forget how much you need them, not really forget, you know what I mean. When everyone is gone again you take it for granted for while they were here. I am not talking about helping with the baby although that was a nice change... Just having company, people you can totally be yourself around.
Anyway, Emily is starting a routine. It was kind of hard to follow with company but we did it last night. She gets a bath after her evening feeding around 7. She is too big for the kitchen sink now so I do it in my shower in her tub. I bought a little stool to sit in there with so I am not bending over the shower to do it. My back is too old for all that bending! She just loves her bath time. She just lays in her tub while I take the shower head and rinse her off... She fell asleep the other night while I did it. After her bath she gets alone time to wind down. Either swing, crib time, or floor time. She really likes laying on the floor watching TV so that is what she usually does. Then comes her next feeding and she is ready to sleep. Keeping the house dark for bath time on too really helps as well. So, things are going better and both of us are getting more sleep.
I have started getting out of the house now too with her. As hard as it is to do by myself and as hot as it is here I have to. Sitting around the house all day is not an option anymore. Her and I have to learn how to do this stuff!
Emily is pushing the limits of her oncies that I have out for her now. My little girl is growing! I am kind of sad that she is growing so quickly! Of course I am happy too because that just means that she is a healthy little girl! She said another vowel sound last night....Ohhhh... She got really loud too, I think she likes hearing her voice! I am wondering when she is going to start trying to turn over, she sure has strong enough legs to help her turn over!
Well, somebody is making some groaning sounds...hmmm, wonder if the little piggy is hungry! Later
