Rub a Dub Dub
I think my daughter has been watching her doggies way too much! In the past couple of days she has got into the habit of rubbing her face all over mine while I am holding her. It is like how a dog does to get their scent on you, know what I mean? Anyway, she rubs her entire head on my face. Then she also likes to grab my bottom lip and try to suck on it! She is a cooky little girl!
The routine is working out great! I am a little concerned though that she will be stuck on it and when we want to go out she will not like being out of it. She really needs it though at this point, I am hoping though that down the road someday it will not be as necessary as it is now. Anyway, reading has become apart of our morning ritual. She likes it, of course I love it so I hope she continues to like it growing up. She is even getting to a point that her poopy is getting into a routine. She tries to go every morning around 8 and fuses so I bring her to my bed and we cuddle. She stops fussing right away and lays up against me... Keith gave me the sweetest compliment today. He actually said that we both looked so beautiful laying together like that. I think in all the years that we have been married that is the most wonderful thing he has ever said! Getting back... After we both get about another hour of sleep I feed her and so on. Then the rest of the morning varies. She spends alone time, we read, she plays on the floor, she sits with me on the computer... whatever makes her happy! Then daddy comes home for lunch and she eats again. By that time she is tired but refuses to go to sleep. Every place I read says baby should sleep most of the day... Not Emmy, she wants to be awake! She likes to be active during the day so I keep her busy as much as possible. After her bath she is REAL tired and she usually falls right asleep now. So things are working out real nice for us!
I am getting more time to do things around the house as well. I can actually read a bit too for myself! I had some insane moment too where I told Keith we should just wing it and not be on birth control...he looked at me like I had 10 heads... I came back from being mental and agreed it would be a good idea to stay on it!
I love being a mommy though, it is so natural for me. I know I have my moments but it is all worth it. She is really focusing on me now and crys when she wants me. She can tell my voice from others and follows where she hears it. I love knowing that she wants me and can tell me apart from others. We bond more and more every day. Today I was singing to her and her eyes were huge just staring at me! She kept cracking a smile too, probably more like laughing at me but it was great.
She is starting to get pretty vocal. She yells alot, not sure what she wants, just think she is having fun!
Tucker and Bree are doing a lot better around her. Bree has always been pretty good... I am much more comfortable leaving her to play on the floor while I am on the couch. The dogs just leave her alone or sit next to her. Tucker likes watching her play with her kicking thing... He likes it when she sets it off!
Anyway, the little turkey is in her swing so I better go... don't want her yelling for me...
