Back to feeling Better
The good news is that Emily is doing much better today for the first time in a week... Good news for Grandma and Grandpa since they are coming into town tomorrow night. She wasn't warm at all yesterday or today. She actually ate today with some hunger. I am much better myself, I might actually sleep good tonight for a change. It is really stressfull having a sick baby, the whole time she was feverish and not eating I felt sick myself.
Emily went to her regular Doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up after going to the ER on Sunday. They were a little concerned about her not gaining any weight for a month... We decided to do Bloodwork along with a pee-pee test. Just in case, her being a preemie we didn't want to rule out a problem with the kidneys or anything else. Poor Em, she was a trooper through the whole thing, all for nothing as she is fine. Thank God. The poor girl has been through enough in her short little life. So I guess her weight has just come to a stand still and she won't be packing it on like before. She has grown taller though, a whole inch in a month!!
So she is just hanging out at home getting her strength back. Today she played on the floor and tried to get her doggies again... they are in a world of trouble as she can do the army crawl pretty quickly now. She is also starting to understand that she needs to pull herself up in a standing position... she is trying but hasn't done it yet.
She has decided that she doesn't like the high chair, she screams like her cousin Catie (the makes your ear drums bleed cousin, the makes dogs howl from miles away cousin! LOL), when you try to put her in it... she arches her back when you try to sit her.... little turd! I don't know what the deal is but I dread it when it is time to feed her... I mean who wants to go through that crap everytime you have fed her? I don't get it, it isn't like she is hurt.... I don't know... Maybe Grandma can figure it out while she is here. Speaking of screaming, she is starting to show some signs of having a temper. She gets really pissed when I tell her no or make her do something she doesn't want to do like having her diaper changed. She gets all red and screams along with this fake cry... I have a little Drama Queen on my hands, she takes after her Father!
Well, this is a very boring post but I am friggin tired... I just wanted to update you on how the little turkey is since she was so sick. Ta-Ta for now...
