Shopping
Okay, so I am not totally in a drunken state nor am I crying hysterically beyond control... Pretty dang good I think! I called Kari once and it wasn't until 9:30pm to see what time I would be getting my Turkey back tomorrow... Good for me! I have survived and I actually did relax and enjoy my day. I actually finished my Christmas shopping today!! Another Yeah for me!
For the first time in about two years I went shopping without having a prior plan of action and a time limit. I went to 3 different Malls today with my mother. First we went to Rotterdam Square Mall where my mother had to go to a particular store for their big morning sales. I had forgotten what it is like to go someplace with my mother... I had to find a way to kill an hour and half just in this one store. I decided to hit the perfumes first. I have been noticing via the TV that allot of celebrities have been coming out with their own line of fragrance so I decided to check them out. I actually smelled every single perfume in the store... The sales lady kept eyeing me until I explained my rather strange behavior by saying that I have a toddler and never get out on my own... that seemed to clear it up and she left me alone. So anyway, I decided my favorite out of the new perfume was actually JLO's Glow. So I sprayed some on me and off I went to my next destination which was the Clinique counter. I looked at all the face creams and decided that 50 bucks for a small bottle of eye treatment was too much money even if it does provide a minor miracle on my crows feet. After that I was getting bored since I was forbidden to go in most of the store as instructed by my mother who was looking at stuff for me, so I left. I found a bench in the mall and sat with all the older men waiting for their wives to finish up their shopping. So, here I am smelling like JLo wishing I looked like her too sitting with 70 something year old men who are all wearing USS baseball hats or those funny looking caps. I sit and I sit and I sit... I wait and I wait and I wait... Some of the men are snoring and the others are talking about the good o'l days... They all have one thing in common, Big bushy eyebrows.... So finally my mother returns and we hit the road to Crossgates. We managed to finish up most of our shopping there and then headed to my most favorite store in the world... The Christmas Tree Shop. "Don't you just love a bargain?" Hell ya I do and thank you very much, I saved a crap load of money in that store! So, my shopping is done... Done I tell you!! Thank God!
So anyway... Do you know what is horrible about Christmas shopping? Besides it being just hot as hell in the Malls and the massive crowds, and grumpy retail associates... It's the PARKING! I swear people would commit murder in order to park their cars... That was the worst part of today, we had to stalk people coming out of the malls with bags... follow them to their cars and wait with much anticipation as they bundle up their car with their bags... We would swear at people if they even looked at "our" intended parking spot. DuHhhhh... We have our Blinker of Fucktards!! It's ours!!
Ahhh, the fun of Christmas! So, people this is my little update to let you know I am surviving the "kidnapping" of my turkey. Hope you are enjoying your weekend... Ta-ta for now...
